James Redden

James “Jim” F. Redden, 68, of Elgin since 2006, died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Born September 17, 1952. Jim was an avid golfer, music and sports fan, motorcycle and crime show enthusiast and all-around family man. Beloved dad of Kristen (Yonas) Hagos, Kimberly (fiancé Alex Schmitz) Redden; loving grandpa of Dakota and Kaia; cherished son of the late Joseph and Helen Redden; dear brother of Michael (Laura), Rosemary (Bob) Fischer, Kathy Maitland; loving spouse of 31 years and close friend of Catherine Redden; beloved owner of Kaner and the late Runner, Dexter, Mannix and fond uncle to many. Visitation will be 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m Sunday, January, 24, 2021 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at State St), South Elgin. Due to current Covid restrictions, please be prepared to come, pay your respects and depart so that others may do the same. Following visitation, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Ann and Robert H.
