James Moulton Raue, Jr., passed away on 3/27/2020. He is survived by his children Matt (Sheree) Raue, Ben Raue, and Samantha (Jake) Hebert, his grandkids Grace, Jimmy, and Claire, his life partner Candy Basselen, his ex-wife Kathy Porter, his sister Paula (Bill) Grocke, and his beloved dogs, Jack and Kevin. He will be fondly remembered by his 9 nieces and nephews and 19 great-nieces and great-nephews. Those who have gone before him include his parents, James and Ruth Raue, his treasured dog Kramer, and many cherished friends.
Jim was born 1946 in Elgin, Illinois, and lived in Bartlett. Jim ran the company American Municipal Software and formerly served in the US Army, on the U-46 school board, and as a volunteer fireman. Jim loved singing, dancing, and golfing, and spending time with his many friends and his grandchildren.
Jim’s memorial services will be delayed until the late spring or summer so he can be celebrated with the big, joyful party he deserves. Instead of flowers, donations can be made to the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin, IL.
