James Powell

James "Jim" Powell, age 60 of Bartlett died from esophageal cancer Wednesday morning October 10th, surrounded by his family in his home. He was a well loved and well known member of the community through his work in the area as well as his involvement in various activities.
Jim was a stay at home dad, musician, handyman, scout leader and volunteer at Willow Creek Community Church.
He is survived by his loving wife Penny; his delightful children Alex and Hope; his father Jack; his sister Janet and brother Ray. He will also be greatly missed by his faithful dog Buddy. Jim was preceded in death by his mother Marcene.
Visitation Friday 4:00pm until 9:00pm at The Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd., Streamwood. Funeral service Saturday 11:00am at the funeral home.
