James L. Olson of Schaumburg James L. Olson, 67, is survived by his wife, Shirl J. (nee Fairburn); a daughter, Kari McLean; a son, John M. (Nicole); grandchildren, Bryan, Justin, Jason and Kevin McLean, and Joshua and Jessica Olson; his father, William T. Olson; a sister, Claudia King; and a brother, Tom (Laurie) Olson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Olson (nee Schramm). He was a member of the IMOA Hunting Club, VFW, American Legion. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Road), Streamwood/Schaumburg.
