James Morrissey

James A. Morrissey, age 61, passed away peacefully November 9th. Son of the late John and Luella Morrissey, he was born in Evanston and grew up in Elmhurst. “Jim” to those who knew him and “Morrissey” or “Dad” to those who loved him best, he is survived by his wife Susan, his devoted partner of 38 years. A proud father and beloved father in law he is also survived by four sons; Sean (Elizabeth), Brian (Tiffany), Joseph (Stephanie) and Michael (Shannon). He was overjoyed earlier this year to welcome his first grandchild, Madeline. An avid Chicago Bears and White sox fan, he had a work ethic to be admired and a lively spirit that made him a treasure friend, brother and uncle.

We invite everyone to wear a “bit o’ green” to celebrate this wonderful Irishman’s life.

Visitation Monday, November 12th, 3-9 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Tuesday 9:45 a.m. to Resurrection Church. Mass 10:30 a.m. Burial Assumption Cemetery.
