James Mcfarland

James "Jimmy" R. McFarland, Jr., age 53; dad of Kayla (fiance Jared Scinto), Liam, Maura and Danny; brother of Colleen (Kurt) Reiter and Bob (Julie); son of James "Skip" R. Sr. and Mary (nee Breault); uncle of Elizabeth, Joey, Megan, Matthew, Mary and Mikey; great uncle of two. He also leaves behind, Colleen McFarland, the mother of his three youngest children Liam, Maura and Danny. He is also joined in heaven by Patti Dettmann the mother of his oldest daughter Kayla.

Jimmy spent 53 years on this earth, but he had so many stories to tell you would've thought it was 153. Between the multitude of adventures Jimmy experienced - climbing the ladder through the hospitality industry, all of the relationships he built and maintained, his favorite adventure was the four children he brought into the world and raised with so much love. His laugh was contagious; his love was intense and unconditional. Jimmy never met a stranger; everyone was a friend he could share a laugh with, someone he could learn something from. The King of Adventures, he was always looking to embark on a new journey and create a new story with his family.

A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held Saturday, September 10th, at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett from 10:00 am until time of stories 1:00 pm. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to Jimmy's three young childrens' college fund would be appreciated. Checks can be made out to College America.
