James L. Livergood Sr, 72, of Romeoville, formerly of Glendale Heights, died Friday, December 2, 2011. James was born January 25, 1939 in Chicago.
A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. James was an iron worker in the city of Chicago having helped with the Sears Tower, Hancock Building and much more of the skyline. He enjoyed fishing, politics and cooking but what he truly enjoyed was being with his family.
Beloved husband to Dolores “Dee” (nee Sharp); Loving father to Lynette and James Jr. (Lori); proud grandfather to Carter, Brittany, Jake and cherished son to the late Leon and Martha (nee Brod); fond brother to Carol (Dave) Zerfass, Beverly (Smitty) Smith and Joanne (the late Ken) Edgren.
Visitation Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 3:00p.m. until time of service 7:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert St (at Middle St), South Elgin. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
