James John Krus

James John Krus, 85, of Chicago died February 6, 2026. James was the beloved husband of the late Katherine; loving brother of the late Patricia Schaefer; son of the late John and Lillian Krus; treasured uncle of John (Cheryl) Schaefer and Chris Schaefer; dear great uncle of Brendan, Jonathan and Lily Schaefer.

He shared his love of Nascar with his nephew Chris and his love of old-time radio, television, and movies with his nephew John.

Visitation Thursday, February 12, 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Interment Friday, 11:00am at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the animal rescue charity, PAWS.
