James Hellesen beloved husband of the late Jacqueline nee Cardinal; loving father of James Joseph (Sue), John, Edward (Kathy), and the late Ann Hellesen; cherished grandfather of Brian (Emily), Carly (Dan) Arnold, Jeff, Michelle, Kaitlyn, Megan and James; proud great grandfather of Calvin, Rose, William, John, Henry and Marigny; dear brother of Nancy (late Ted) Mayer.
A proud WWII Veteran, he loved to golf and was a devout Roman Catholic, a graduate of University of Illinois and retired from International Harvester.
Visitation Tuesday 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Wednesday 9:15 a.m. to Corpus Christi Church. Mass 10:00 a.m. Following mass cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
