James Gurga

James H. Gurga, of Hoffman Estates, formerly of Schaumburg; beloved husband of Judy (nee Schreiber) for 33 years. Loving Father of Catherine (Scott) Bruining, Christy (Jon) Redick, and Missy Gurga; Proud grandfather to Anna, Alex and James; dear brother of Beth (the late Larry) Stalec, Jan (Pete) Eichler, and the late Bob Gurga and Karen Sullivan; fond brother-in-law to Gayle, Chuck, Pam, and Mike; many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Trustee at Our Redeemer United Methodist Church, and built sets for plays at the Schaumburg High School and for H.O.T.T. Productions. Visitation Sunday, July 9th, 3:00 pm-8:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Visitation Monday, July 10th 10:00 am until time of service 11:00am at Our Redeemer United Methodist Church 1600 W. Schaumburg Rd, Schaumburg. Following services cremation will be private at Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations may be to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
