James Gonyon

James A. Gonyon, 88 passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. He was born April 10, 1935 in Glendale, Queens, NY. After attending High School he served in the Air Force. Jim was married on June 6, 1959 to Mary Sullivan; they were married for 53 years. He worked for FMC as a systems analyst for 30 plus years. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and had a great passion for baseball. He was a kind and caring man who was quick with a joke to cheer everyone up. Jim is survived by sons James P. (Marie) Gonyon, Thomas (Patricia) Gonyon and Sean (Kristine) Gonyon; daughter Elizabeth (Edward) Tierney; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services, at the request of the family, will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. Arrangements were handled by Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Streamwood.
