James Dobson

James R. Dobson, Sr. of Streamwood since 1958. Beloved husband of Ayris (nee Orengil) for 51 years. Loving father of James R. Jr. (Barbara), Sandy (Scott) Wood, Michael and Max. Proud grandfather of Joanna, A. J., Allison, Diana, Michael Jr., Matthew, Ashley, Marilyn, Max Jr., Taylor and Nicole. Great grandfather of Benjamin. Dear brother of Carol (Eugene) Schmidt, Ken Kuefner and the late Ron.

Jim was a Naval Veteran of WWII, serving on the U.S.S. Caspar and a member of VFW Post #5151. Jim also served as the Assistant Chief of the Village of Streamwood Volunteer Fire Department from 1960-1972 and retired as a Supervisor for the Village of Streamwood Water Department.

Visitation Sunday 3:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Road), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral services will be private on Monday. Interment Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wounded Warriors Project would be appreciated.
