James "Jim" Cherwin

James M. "Jim" Cherwin, 74, of Bartlett for 46 years, passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 3, 2024. An Army Veteran, Jim, who believed dearly in his faith and family, enjoyed going to his son's college football games and was a regular at all the grandkid's sporting events. Beloved husband of Kimberly (nee Brown) for 25 years; loving father of Amy (Virgilio Brenes) Cherwin, Tim (Stacey), Kelly O'Reilly, Melanie (Dan) O'Reilly-Rogers, Kevin (Jessica) O'Reilly, and Davion; proud grandfather of Brandon, Dylan, Reagan, Austin, Holden, and Ruby; dear brother of Ken (Jo), Katie (Bill) Jacobi, Terry (Sue), and Mary (the late Jim) Sullivan; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday, January 8 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett. Funeral Tuesday 9:15am at the funeral home to St. Peter Damian Catholic Church. Mass 10:00am. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
