James Brunzo

June 29, 1946 — January 27, 2022

James (Jim) Michael Brunzo, passed away January 27, 2022 at St. Alexis Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Jim was born June 29, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, grew up in Chicago, Illinois and most recently lived and raised his family in Streamwood, Illinois. He was the beloved husband to Diane for 47 loving years. His lifelong career of 45+ years was with RM Trucking. Parishioner for 40 years of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Streamwood, Illinois.

Jim was a fighter, who never gave up, he will be remembered for his strength and abundant love. What Jim loved most was spending time with his family, BBQing and preparing a delicious meal! His favorite past time was coaching Brian and neighborhood boys in little league, and then having the opportunity to coach his grandson Austin side-by-side with Brian. Fishing and hunting was his passion, and even more so passing this passion on by teaching Brian, Austin, and Jason everything that he knows about these sports. Jim has touched numerous lives! Those who loved him describe him to have a huge heart that loved everyone, caring, generous, and devoted; he and Mrs. B graciously opened their home to all of Tina and Brian's friends and was affectionately known as the beloved Mr. B to everyone. As Brian reflects on the amazing dad that he was privileged to have and that he looked up to, and credits him for everything that he knows. He treasures most of all, all that he taught him which is now being passed on to both of his sons, Austin and Christian. As Tina speaks of all that she adored of her dad, as his princess aka witch, she can't help but to attribute the person she is today as all that he was to her, being Daddy's Little Girl is the proudest title that she can think of. The man that he was is irreplaceable and will alway be loved and remembered!

Those that are left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Diane; adorning children Tina and Brian; beloved grandchildren Austin, Danielle, and Christian; dear siblings Mike (Brenda), Joe (Pam), Jackie (Jerry), and Phyllis (Ron); dear brother-in-law to Judy, Debbie Jeff, and Tammy; uncle to many nieces and nephews; and many friends with his dearest friends being Jerry, Andy (Shel), and Bruce (Alice).

Additionally, loving children Vince, Jimmy, and Denise; grandchildren Bradley, Doni, Krista and Sammy, great granddaughter Braylin.

He was proceeded in death by parents Phillip and Angeline; brothers Phil (Olga), Donnie (Cami), sisters Mary Ellen (Bob), Angel (Terry).
