James J. Basich, 73, of Elgin, IL passed away on January 22, 2025. Jim was born on September 18, 1951 to his parents Irving and Margaret Basich. He is the beloved husband of 51 years to Patricia “Patti”; loving dad of James, Jr. (Melissa) Basich and Paul (Kimberly) Basich; cherished papa of Ashleigh, James III, Brianna and Kayleigh; dear brother of Carol (Tom) Peterson, Steve Basich and Mark Basich. Beloved brother-in-law of Joe Gerace (Sheri), uncle to Stephanie, Amanda, Samantha, Joey, Patrick, JT, Brittany, Courtney and Dalton. Loving friend to many.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 11:00 am until time of Memorial Service 1:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd. Bartlett, IL 60103.
