James B. Angove, Jr., 83, of Elgin died July 7, 2025. James was the beloved husband of Jane Angove (nee Beitlich) for 45 years.; loving father of Sara Engle and Molly (David) Rossman; devoted papi of Faith Engle, Joey Engle, Caroline Rossman and Miles Rossman; dear brother of Carol King.
James was a Navy veteran. He enjoyed reading, being outside and gardening. James was a life long learner who enjoyed traveling and vacations with his family. He also liked to exercise.
Memorial visitation Friday July 11, 10:00am until time of memorial service 11:00am at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert Street (at State Street) South Elgin. In lieu of flowers donations to Living Lord Lutheran Church 1044 Congress Drive, Bartlett, IL 60103 would be appreciated.
