Ismael Reyna

It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Ismael Reyna, a cherished father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, who left this world peacefully on Friday, June 19th, 2026,

Ismael was a devoted and loving father to his children Rolando Reyna, Ricardo (Ludivina) Reyna, and Elizabeth (the late Guillermo) Gonzalez. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Daniel, Cristian (fiancée Brianna), Mateo, Briana, Ryan, and Sophia, whom he adored and supported by attending all their events. Ismael was also a much-loved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his dear wife, Maria, Ismael found great joy and fulfillment in his work as a floor sander. He was admired for his dedication and passion, but his professional life was just one aspect of his vibrant persona. A man of deep faith, Ismael was an active member of The Knights of Columbus, where he cultivated numerous friendships and was known for his welcoming spirit and engaging conversations.

Ismael's love for the community was evident in his enthusiasm for meeting new people and forming lasting connections. He was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and treasured the simple pleasures of life, including sharing his time and laughter with everyone he encountered.

Visitation Wednesday June 24, 2026 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Homes & Crematory, 333 South Roselle Rd., Roselle, Illinois, Funeral Thursday June 25, 2026 will start with funeral Mass 10:30am at St Gregory of Nyssa Parish (Holy Spirit) in Schaumburg. Burial will follow in St Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Ismael is reunited with his beloved Maria and is at peace. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
