Visitation for Irene Mary Vollendorf nee Plucinski, 77, of Roselle for over 20 years will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 4:00 - 8:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Saturday 8:45a.m. to St. Ansgar Church. Mass 9:30a.m. Interment St. Adalbert.
Born January 6, 1941, she was an active member of St. Ansgar Church in Hanover Park, Irene served as a Lector and Coordinator of Hospital Ministry for 13 years. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles and fostering cats with her husband for Almost Home Foundation Dog and Cat Rescue in Schaumburg.
Irene is the beloved wife of Robert P. for 43 years; loving mother of Deborah (John) Hennessey, William (Carol) Keller and Susan (Fred) Hurd; grandmother of Keriann, John Hennessey, III, (fiance Bridget), Luke (Rachel) and Matthew Hennessey; William Keller, II (Stephanie), Heidi (Ryan) Skilling, Shannon (Tom) Evans and Robert (Kelli) Hurd; great grandmother of Kaitlyn, Audrey, William and George Skilling, Kayli Bagley, Brayden Pomplun, Jaedyn, Ryan and Emily Hurd and one on the way!; dear sister of the late Richard Platt and Joseph Plucinski. She is preceded in death by her cat "Crystal".
