Irene Borens

Irene R. Borens, nee Miller, of Elgin her entire life; wife of the late Robert P.; mother of Sharon (Jim) Lehman, Gordon (Meme) Lowery, Birdie (late Richard) Wiese, Terry (Bob) Wright, Richard Lowery and Rex (Holly) Borens; grandmother of 13, great grandmother of 12 and great great grandmother of 2. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Hedwig (nee Ichstaat) Miller. Irene LOVED to garden, spending hours every year planting and weeding all varieties of flowers around her home. A very knowldegable Chicago sports fan, especially the Bears. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, roller skating (well into her 60's) and giving generously of her time for many years at St. John Lutheran Church in Elgin. A private celebration of Irene's life will be held January 21st.
