Ilene Medcalf

Ilene R. Medcalf (nee Cook), 85, of Wauconda and Roselle. Ilene was residing at Highland Oaks at the time of her death, she passed away peacefully January 30, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert for 42 years; loving mother of Steve (Pamela) and Kevin (Wendy); proud grandmother of James (Katie Farmer), John (Becky), Joshua, Kelsey (Matt) Waughon; cherished sister of the late Russell (the late Helen) Cook; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Ilene retired from USG Corp. (Roselle Building Materials) after 30 years as a receptionist and bookkeeper. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and School. Ilene was a member of the Mother's Club and helped assemble the weekly bulletins. She enjoyed camping, traveling and annual family fishing trips to Minnesota.


Visitation Thursday, February 2, 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service 12Noon at the Countryside Funeral Home, 333 S. Roselle Rd. (1/2 mile south of Irving Park Road), Roselle. Burial Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Trinity Lutheran Church 405 S. Rush Street, Roselle, IL 60172 or the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org would be appreciated.
