Hugh R. O'Connor, 86, of Elgin formerly of Machesny Park, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021. Hugh will be forever remembered as a generous man, with a witty sense of humor, who had the most incredible gift of gab. He was a devout Catholic and pro-life advocate. Hugh was a man of integrity who loved his family more than anything. He passed away quietly at home surrounded by the love of his six daughters and his grand-dog, Lola (his baby girl) as he entered into the Kingdom of Heaven. Hugh would have it no other way.
