Visitation for Hertha W. Peterson nee Wieser, of Streamwood for 55 years, one of the first residents, will be held Monday April 9, 2012 11:00a.m. until time of prayers 12:15p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg to Immanuel United Church of Christ. Services 1:00p.m. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
Born December 21, 1920 in Chicago, Hertha died Thursday April 5, 2012.
An avid sports fan, she loved the Cubs. She loved all animals, especially her 3 dogs, birds, playing games, reading, stitchery, and making books with her grandson. Hertha was a long time member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Streamwood, and remembered for her strong faith, strong will and sparkle in her eye.
She is the beloved wife of the late Charles; loving mother of Bill (Sheri) Peterson of Tampa, FL and Linda (Rick) Amerlan of Carpentersville; cherished grandmother of Jacob and Aaron Peterson and Matthew Amerlan; dear sister of the late Walter (the late Louise); many loving nieces and nephews.
