Hershel G. Clark Jr.

Hershel Gaston Clark Jr, 91, of Streamwood for 41 years, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025. Born December 4, 1933, in Walkertown, West Virginia. Hershel was a veteran of the U.S. Army who earned the Purple Heart while serving during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid Chicago sports fan who was very outgoing and gracious with his time. He enjoyed reading and visiting his family in West Virginia but above all he loved spending time with family, especially his grandkids. Beloved husband of 48 years to Jennie Lou; loving dad of Ron (Sue) Clark, Mark (Denise) Clark, Ronnie (Terry) Hoff, Rhonda (Ed) Gollihur; cherished grandpa of Robert, Kevin, Chris, Amber (Shann), Jodi, Corie, Desiree (Arnold), Cassie, Misty; caring great grandpa of 13; dear son of the late Hershel Sr and Chloe Clark; kind brother of Jeanette, Patsy, Shirley, Betty and the late Geneva, Buddy and Hildred; fond uncle to many. Visitation 3:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 S Greenmeadows Blvd, Streamwood. Funeral Thursday 10:30 am. Interment with honors Bluff City Cemetery.
