Helen Decarolis

Helen V. DeCarolis (nee Lameka), 95, passed away peacefully February 4, 2016. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Albert; loving mother of Sharon (Peter) Wendt and Susan (Curt) Vosburgh; proud Nani of Michelle (Nick), Rebecca, Derek (Shellei), Matthew (Lisa) and Elizabeth. Loving great grandmohter of Kennede, Jackson, Mac, Logan, Olivia, Rocco and Sadie; cherished sister of Joan, the late Beebe, Mary, Eugene and Harry.

Helen always had a smile on her face, she welcomed everyone. She loved her whole family and made everyone feel very special. Each one of us thought we were her favorite. Helen enjoyed cooking, telling stories about her youth and how she and Albert met. Her middle name should have been "Dance" because she danced until she was 92 years old. Helen took pride in how she presented herself by wearing lipstick, cologne and fixing her hair every day. Known as Nani to many. She was the best and will be forever in our hearts.

Visitation Wednesday, February 10, 10:00a.m. until the time of service 1:00p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Following services cremation will take place privately at Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org would be appreciated.
