Helen L. Blazek (nee Kwilos), 100 of Algonquin, formerly Schaumburg, died peacefully Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Born August 21, 1923, in Chicago. Helen enjoyed the theater. She was even a member of the Dramatic Circle where she met her husband. She was an avid Cubs fan, but her biggest passion was always her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Casimir; loving mom of Darlene (James) Borkowski, Diane, and Robert (Cheri) Blazek; cherished grandma of Erick (Jaime), Serena (Mitchell), Evan (Chelsea), and Tana (fiancé Simon); dearest GG of Nathanael, Camden, Cecilia, twins Ainsley and Evelyn, and Faith; dear daughter of the late Michael and Helen (nee Parys) Kwilos; kind sister of the late Gertrude, Virginia and Richard and aunt to many. Visitation Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 8:00am until time of prayers at 9:15am going to St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Mass 10:00am, Interment St Michael the Archangel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org , would be appreciated.
