Harvey Edelstein

Harvey Ronald Edelstein, longtime resident of Glen Ellyn, Illinois passed away on August 12, 2021. Harvey was 75 years old.
Harvey deeply loved his family and enjoyed sharing his passions with them. He loved his Chicago sports teams: Bears, Bulls, White Sox and Blackhawks. Harvey’s idea of a great meal was a Gene & Jude’s hotdog. He loved everything and anything to do with older model muscle cars and Corvettes as well as anything else that had an engine. He had a heart for animals, especially his dogs and granddogs. A Civil War and History buff, he could spout off details and information to anyone eager to learn. Harvey was more than proud and gracious Dad; he was a friend who listened and gave guidance whenever asked. He never hesitated to attend any and every event his children were involved in and was always first in line to cheer them on. Harvey cherished those memories and kept them close to his heart.

Harvey was proceeded in death by his devoted parents, Irving and Florence, and his precious grandson, Levi. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathi (nee Mastro), beloved brother Donald (Debbie), cherished father of Elizabeth, Sarah (Matthew) Coulter and Michael (Kristin), and adored Grampy of Joy, Reade, as well as uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Harvey is planned for Saturday, August 21st from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. The visitation will be at Countryside Funeral Home, located at 950 S Bartlett Road, Bartlett, IL 60103.
