Harry Rakowski

A Memorial Mass for Harry Rakowski of Schaumburg since 1993, formerly of Roselle for 30 years will be held Monday, April 27, 2026 at St. Walter Catholic Church 130 W. Pine St. Roselle. Mass 10:00a.m.

A Korean War Naval Veteran, Harry had the priviledge of attending Honor Flights 5 years ago where he met General Colin Powell. He enjoyed “traveling the world” with his wife Audrey for whom he eventually became her loving caregiver and was a volunteer at St. Alexius Medical Center for many years.

Harry is the beloved husband of 72 years of Audrey nee Szyszka; loving father of Ann (Stephen King) Melody, Susan (Patrick) Marino, Michael (Sarah) Rakowski, Mark (Tomajean) Rakowski, Matthew (Karen) Rakowski and Stephen (Christine) Rakowski; proud grandfather of Kelsey (Kevin) Orsini, Brinn (Austin) Brooks, Joshua (Mary “Lisa”) Paton, Mallorie (Bryce Halliday) Marino, Zachary Marino, Jason Rakowski and Jacob Rakowski; proud great grandfather of Millie, June, Leni, Elena, Nathala, Joshua Jr. and Angelica; youngest and last of 7 children; dear uncle of many loving nieces and nephews.
