Harry Petty

Harry F. "Bud" Petty, Jr., 82, a 32nd degree Mason, of South Elgin, passed away Saturday January 23. Harry was a body building enthusiast who was fluent in Greek, Japanese, Russian, and French and worked at a solar observatory in Tehran, Iran to help protect the Apollo II mission. Beloved husband of Mitsue "Kay"(nee Yamada); loving father of Harry F. "Mickey"(Ling) III, Tim(Michael), Michael James, and Mark Louis(Kerri); proud grandfather of Elitah R. Petty; dear son of the late Harry F., Sr. and the late Margaret(nee Nixon); fond brother of Roger(Gloria) and Steve(Deborah). Visitation Thursday, January 28 from 10:00am until time of service 12:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert St.(at State St.), South Elgin.
