Harold Mitchell

Harold Leroy Mitchell, 80, died January 31, 2024. Harold was the beloved husband of the late Patricia; loving father of Tim (Dawn), Tracy Syslo, Tammy (the late William) Taylor, Terri (Alex) Roofener, Tom, Toni (Sean) McGarry, Kristy (Daniel) Wheeler, Kevin (Lisa), Keith (Christine) and Kerri (Jeremy) Schemmel; proud grandfather of 35; dear great grandfather of 14; fond brother of the late Wayne (the late Sharon), the late Larry (Sandie), the late Marlin and the late Beverly,



As a family man Harold loved his children, pets and animals. He especially liked to see his children and grandchildren at Christmas. Harold enjoyed trains, steam engines and was also a fan of C124 aircrafts, which he worked on while serving in the Airforce. He was also a member of the Lena American Legion. Harold's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Encore Memory Care of Crystal Lake.



Visitation Sunday, February 4, 4:00pm - 9:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Road) Streamwood/Schaumburg. A funeral service and military honors will be held on Sunday at 7:00pm. Burial Monday Lena Burial Park. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimers Association www.alz.org or your favorite charity would be appreciated.
