Harold “Gus” Kelley, 83, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020. He was born August 25, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Harold and Helen Kelley.
Gus enjoyed playing golf, watching the Chicago Cubs, and making people laugh by telling jokes and amusing stories. He was a member of the Bartlett Lions Club, Immanuel United Church of Christ and Elgin Country Club. He was a little league coach, Cub Scout leader and co-founder of “DAD’s” Club. He was employed by Precision Steel Warehouse for a 42 years starting on the sales desk, retiring as the Vice-President and General Manager.
Gus was predeceased by his grandson Ryan and sister Shirley.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joan; children Scott (Kathie), Jodi (John), Jennifer and Mike (Meg); grandchildren Trevor, Jenna (Ryan), Kaitlyn, Colton, Sydney, Aaron, Patrick and Kyle; sisters Donna (Mike), Patricia, Marlene (Bob); brother David; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Bartlett Lions Club, P.O. Box 8049, Bartlett, IL 60103.
