Harold V. Corrigan (“Hal”), 90, passed away on January 19, 2025. Beloved husband of the late AnnaMae Corrigan for 62 years; loving Dad of Brian Corrigan (Julie) and Barbara Corrigan (David Arendt); proud Grandpa to Ashley Corrigan (Brian Valadez), Kevin Corrigan, Maggie Arendt, and Abby Arendt; Great-Grandpa to Ellie and Connor; and a host of others who consider Hal to be their adopted Dad and Grandpa.
Hal was a proud lifelong Glenbard West High School Hilltopper. He lived in a house on the hill where the Glenbard West library stands today. He graduated from Glenbard West. He was a guidance counselor at Glenbard West for more than 28 years. Part of the chain gang for the Glenbard West Football games for more than 50 years. Even after retiring from the chain gang, he could always be found on a Saturday afternoon in the fall on the sidelines of Duchon Field for the football games. Hal was also a diehard Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and Notre Dame fan. He stayed active golfing and bowling with friends and family until he was 89. More than anything, he loved his family and spending time with them and enjoyed coaching their baseball and softball teams. He attended thousands of softball, baseball and volleyball games, along with cheerleading and ice skating competitions, and many choir and band concerts. Hal was loved and will be missed.
