Guy Patterson

Guy A. Patterson of Streamwood passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on January 18, 1951. Beloved husband of Lori (nee Sophie); loving and proud father of Alyssa, Amanda, and Alexandra; cherished brother of Barney (Cindy), Rodney, Charlie (Janalyn), Laura (Bob) Schumacher, and Paula (David) Bristow; dear son in law of Audrey and Jack McKenna; brother in law of Gary (Barb), Tom (Margaret), Bob Sophie, and sister in law Jean Sophie; uncle of many fond nieces and nephews.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Leona, brother Taborn, sister Merna Green, and brother in law Raymond Sophie.
Guy was a United States Air Force Veteran and a strong advocate of the Streamwood community, where he served as Streamwood Park District Commissioner for 8 years and proceeded to serve as a Village Trustee for 9 years.

Visitation Thursday, June 9, 4:00pm-8:00pm, Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Friday 11:00am. Cremation was private at Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Holiday Helping supported by the Village of Streamwood, 301 W. Irving Park Rd, Streamwood, IL 60107 or St. Walter Church, 130 W. Pine St, Roselle, IL 60172.
