Gregory Garland

Gregory “Greg” K. Garland, 67, of South Elgin for 22 years, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Born January 4, 1951 in Chicago. A former volunteer firefighter for the Village of Roselle. Greg was hardworking and could fix anything. He was quiet, loving and always put family first. Beloved husband of 47 years but friend for 52 of Gayle (nee Rumowski); loving father of Greg (Laura “Laurie”) and Jason “Jay” (Jackie); cherished grandpa of Drew, Cassidy, Gage, Ashley, Brayden and Izzi; caring son of the late Warren and Kathleen (nee Page) and brother of Patricia (Harvey “JR”) Melhop. Cremation and service are private at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, South Elgin. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org, to continue helping his queen and love of his life Gayle, would be appreciated.
