Gregory Felix Adrian, a resident of Belvidere, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17th, 2025, at the age of 65. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Greg's life was a testament to dedication, service, and the pursuit of his passions.

Greg proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, exemplifying the honor, courage, and commitment central to the spirit of a Marine. His service instilled in him a profound sense of duty and problem-solving skills that he carried throughout his life. "Semper fidelis."

Those who knew him fondly remember his deep love for dogs, particularly his skill in training German Shepherds.

Though known affectionately as a curmudgeon to some, Greg's gruff exterior belied a heart of gold that was evident to all who truly knew him. His straightforward nature and unique sense of humor brought joy to those around him and will be sorely missed.

A man of varied interests, Greg held a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He was a connoisseur of fine cigars and bourbon, relishing the rich, comforting experience they provided. Greg also found great joy in leatherworking, crafting items with skill and care, each piece a testament to his artistic spirit. He began leather working to keep his mind sharp. All of the projects and items he made, he gave away to his friends, always making something for someone.

A master problem solver, Greg approached every challenge with a keen mind and an unwavering resolve. His ability to think critically and navigate complex issues was admired by all who knew him.

As a dedicated NRA instructor, Greg was committed to safety and education. He took great pride in sharing his knowledge and skills with others, always emphasizing the importance of responsibility. Greg was a competitive shooter and also trained Illinois State Troopers.

Greg is preceded in death by his loving parents, John Anthony Adrian and Catherine Adrian.

He is survived by his loving brother Mark (Michele) Adrian; cherished uncle of Sarah (Ian) Murphy and Christopher (Sandy) Adrian; beloved great-uncle of Parker, Giselle, Christopher and Dominic; beloved friends Tom and Teri Tracey, and Mitch and Anna Saville and their sons Levi and Andrew. He will be missed by so many.
