Graciela Salazar

Graciela Salazar, 86, of South Elgin, IL passed away on August 12, 2024. Graciela was born in Saltillo, Coahuila on September 6, 1937 to her parents Luis and Eduvijes Ramos. She grew up in a large family being 1 of 13! She was also a proud and strong employee of Haeger Pottery. She will be greatly missed by the family she loved so much.

Graciela is the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Henry F Salazar; loving mother of Maria (Gilbert Mielke) Salazar, Ramona Salazar, Leonor E. (Ramiro Sanchez) Salazar, Eloise E. (Andrew Kirkwood) Salazar-Kirkwood; cherished grandmother of Gabriela (James), Alexia (Luis), Anabella, Bianca (Jesus), Luis, Ciara, Giselle, Lola Marie, Andrew Jr, Anthony (Anna), Isabella; great-grandmother of Nalani, James, Lydia, Julian, Jesus Jr. and Jair; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 9:00am – 11:00 am at Countryside Funeral Home, 95 South Gilbert St. South Elgin, Illinois 60177. A funeral mass will follow at 12:00 pm at St. Joseph Church, 270 Division Street, Elgin, Illinois 60120. Following the service, cremation will be at Countryside Crematory.
