Gloria L. Mattioli

Gloria L. (née Maffiola) Mattioli, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 90. A resident of Schaumburg, IL, Gloria was known for her outgoing, spirited personality, and boundless love for her family.

Born on December 1, 1935, in Chicago. Gloria was the cherished daughter of the late Louis and Filomena (née Dellegrazie) Maffiola, sister to Rae Licka and Joe Maffiola. She shared a life filled with love and devotion to her late husband, Richard. Together, they traveled and nurtured a family that would be her pride and joy until her last days.

She is survived by her loving children, Fred (Julie) Mattioli and Cindy Korabik. Gloria was a devoted grandmother to Becky (Garret), Sarah (Tim), Bradley, Bryce (Dr. Madison Spagnuolo), and Chase, and a proud great-grandmother to Graham and Daisy. She was preceded in death by her dear husband Richard Mattioli and son-in-law, Robert Korabik.

Gloria worked as a hairdresser and also served as an admissions manager at Wright College. She loved to shop and was a proud member of the Golden Circle Seniors Club.

Gloria volunteered at St. Alexius Hospital for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, ceramics, and had a great love for the beach.

Visitation 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Countryside Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1640 S Greenmeadows Blvd, Streamwood. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:30 until time of Mass, 10:00am at St. Hubert Church, 729 Grand Canyon St, Hoffman Estates. Interment at All Saints Cemetery.
