Gloria Ann Haton, age 79, of Streamwood, Illinois, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. Born in Chicago, Gloria lived a life filled with love, kindness, and creativity.

She devoted more than 30 years as the accountant for St. Ansgar Catholic Church, where her meticulous work and caring spirit touched countless lives. Beyond her professional role, Gloria embraced her passions wholeheartedly—creating beautiful quilts that will be treasured for generations, making cherished memories with her grandchildren, enjoying bus trips with her husband and friends, and delighting in the magic of musicals and theater.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Lemke; her brother, Harry Galinski; her children, Dennis Haton and Dena Haton; grandchildren Emma and Noah Haton; step-grandchildren Amanda and Alex Lemke; and many great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her lifelong best friend, Gwen Potucek, with whom she shared a bond since high school.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Haton, and her parents, Caroline and Harry Galinski.

Gloria’s warmth, generosity, and calm demeanor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home in Streamwood, IL, on Monday, December 29, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 30, at 11:00 AM at St. Ansgar Catholic Church in Streamwood. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gloria’s life and share memories of the remarkable woman she was.
