Gloria Fournier (née McKay), 86, of Carol Stream, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 with her family by her side.
Born in Chicago in 1933 to Harold and Julia McKay, she later met and married the love of her life, Ronald Fournier, in 1955, and was happily married for 57 years. Gloria was predeceased by Ron in 2012, her mother Julia, her father Harold, and her siblings Ruth, Don, Dorothy, Bob, and Eddie.
Gloria showed her love for Jesus through her giving spirit and selfless acts of kindness to others, but above all through her love and devotion to her family. She was a gentle, kind soul who loved all forms of artistic expression—painting, sewing, knitting, and quilting. Gloria loved gardening and was often spotted in the yard wearing a big hat and sunglasses. She loved to bake and made delicious buttermilk biscuits.
Gloria is survived by her four children: Mark (Pam) Fournier, Janet (Tom) Parnell, Donna (Bob) Casey, and Nancy (Rick) Seidl. Equally, her 10 grandchildren: Sean, Jason, Dan (Danielle), Michelle (Kaleb), Michael (Katie), Brittany, Katelyn, Megan, Matthew, and David. Gloria was blessed to have also had 9 great-grandchildren: Massimo, Verona, Ava, Olivia, Hayden, Brooklyn, Tristan, Greyson, and Charlotte. She loved every moment she spent with them all as well as her very precious dog Reggie.

Visitation Monday March 2, 2020 at The Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Prayers Tuesday March 3, 2020 9:45am at the funeral home to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Carol Stream, Illinois for Mass at 10:30am. Following Mass, burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
