Gloria J. Conley of Roselle
Services for Gloria J. Conley (nee Forte) 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Roselle United Methodist Church, 208 Rush St., Roselle.
Born February 15, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois, she died September 27, 2016 in Hinsdale.
Gloria graduated from Hirsch high school and completed Brian and Stratton Secretarial College in Chicago. Her exceptional secretarial skills paved the way for employment at the Rock Island Railroad (LaSalle St. Station) and New York Central Railroad. After moving to Roselle, she worked as a secretary at Parkside school and later in the Addison school district and Spector Freight.
She was the loving wife of the late Donovan S. Conley, mother of Donovan S. Conley Jr. and Donna Dengler, and grandmother of Ryan and Sarah Dengler. Gloria was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church in Roselle and a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO). The things Gloria loved and valued most in her life were faith and family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking gourmet meals for family and friends and entertaining guests during the holidays and special occasions. She will be greatly missed by all those she touched and endeared herself to while here on earth. However, it is comforting to know she is at peace and now resides in Heaven with our Lord and Savior.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service 11:00 a.m. at the Roselle United Methodist Church, 208 Rush St., Roselle. Interment will be in the Bluff City Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Roselle United Methodist Church, American Heart Association or your preferred charity.
