Gilberto Marrero

Gilberto H. Marrero, 81, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023. Gilberto emigrated from Cuba to the United States in 1972, and was an avid Cubs fan who also enjoyed Dominos, but was mostly known as a hard worker who loved his family greatly. Beloved husband of Candida (nee Diaz); loving father of Gilberto F. (Kelly); dear grandfather of Jamie Loftus and Robert and Tommy Marrero; proud great grandfather of Gabriella, Dominic, and Nicholas; fond brother of the late Cachita (the late Enrique) Capiro. Visitation Saturday, June 24 from 11:00am until time of service 1:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle rd.
