Gilbert J. Wagner 74, of Wauconda. Beloved husband of 21 years to Christine (nee Johnstone). Loving father of Scott and the late Brett Wagner. Fond grandfather and great grandfather of many. Dear brother of Diane VonSchnase. Loving uncle, brother-in-law, son-in-law and cherished friend to all who knew him.
He served in the U.S. Navy. He loved working on cars and ran a successful automotive repair shop for many years. He enjoyed dancing, golf and being a docent at the Cuneo Museum.
Visitation Thursday November 10, 2011 from 3pm to 8pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Visitation Friday from 9:30am until mass at 10:30am at Transfiguration Church 316 Mill St. Wauconda. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations to Transfiguration Church would be appreciated. (630)289-8054
