Gertrud Spina

Gertrud I. Spina (nee Kirschbaum), 71, of Bartlett, died Monday, November 26, 2018. Born March 19, 1947 in Germany. Beloved wife of Bruce E.; loving mom of Vickie (Brian) Winter, Jack (Jennifer) Cullotta and Brian Spina; cherished grandma of Stephanie (Ricky), Anthony, Matthew, Jack, Kaleigh, Antonio, Brian and Sofia; proud great grandma of Ava; kind daughter of the late Herbert and Adele (nee Kissman) Kirschbaum; dear sister of Marika (Bruce) Hawkinson, Christa (Gustave) Kawell and the late Horst; close family friend of Roseann Spina. Gertrud was an avid reader. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and the occasion computer game. She will be missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Friday 10:30a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Lakewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
