Geraldine A. Butler (nee Balster), 95, of Bartlett, formerly of Riverwoods. Beloved wife of the late James; loving mom of James (Sue), Mary (Jeff) Gilbert, Thomas (Darlene), John (Ann Brogan), twins Kathy (Pete) Raczynski and Karen (Glen) Luensman, Terry (Eldorado) Wallace, Susan and the late Patricia Butler; cherished grandma of Eddie (Jennifer), Jennifer (Joey), Jamie (Mike), Kacey, Cody, Logan, Ryan, Erik (Kendra), Alyssa and great grandma of Sheridan and Samantha; dear daughter of the late August and Margaret (nee Dider) Balster; caring sister of Jeanne (the late Norvin) Solie and the late Babe (Ray) Lauter, Lucy (Jim) McLaughlin, Gertrude (William) Galupi, Marie (Herbert) Weber, Henry (Kay) Gotmer, Walter Gotmer and Virginia (Thomas) O’Brien; fond aunt to countless nieces and nephews. Geraldine was devoted to her faith and her family. Visitation 3p.m. to 9p.m. Friday, December 2 ,2016 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Saturday 10:15a.m. to St Peter Damian Church, Mass 11:00a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Priests of the Sacred Heart, Sacred Heart Monastery, www.poshusa.org or the Mundelein Monastery, University of St Mary of the Lake, www.usml.edu, would be appreciated.
