Gerald "Jerry" Young

Gerald "Jerry" Young, 73, of Sandwich, formerly of Bloomingdale, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 surrounded by his family. An Air Force Veteran who served during Viet Nam, Jerry was an avid Corvette enthusiast and member of the Northern Rays Corvette Club. Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Gorvett); cherished son of the late Gerald and the late Eileen (nee Krupa); beloved brother of Lori (Stephen) Challinor, the late Kathy Young and the late Tommy Young; fond uncle of Keir Challinor, Isannah (Jimmy) Czernek, Jon (Beth) Pingel, Megan (Nick) Fredona, Kimberly Sherrard, Eric (Kathleen) Carlson, Sarah (Amos) Kaffenbarger, William (Christina) Anderson, Tim (Katie) Gorvett, and Austin (Danielle) Gorvett; dear brother in law of Joanne (Stephen) Carlson, Robert (Laurie) Gorvett, Deborah (William) Anderson, and Kenneth Gorvett. Visitation Sunday, August 13 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett. Funeral Monday 11:00am.
