Gerald Semro

Visitation for Gerald J. Semro, Sr. 86, of Pardeeville, WI, formerly of Streamwood will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 3:00 - 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Interment private.

Gerald enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, fishing, playing cards, watching old movies and musicals and listening to Elvis. He ran the Bingo Program at St. John the Evangelist Church for many years, coached Little League in Streamwood and tended bar at the Bartlett Tap. He proudly served his country in the US Army and worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, teaching his "work ethic" to his family and being an avid Cubs fan.

Gerald is the beloved husband of the late Rita nee Magnuson; loving father of Joanne (Clifford) Page, Jerry (Pam), Joe (Liz), Elizabeth (Dave) Kesler and Mary Rita (Brian) Lindquist; adored grandfather of Melanie Rita (Mickey) Shannon, Sean Semro, Megan (Taylor) Grover, Rita, Lisa and Daniel Semro, Austin (Meghan) Lindquist, Nick (Chandler) Hartleb, Jared and Zach Lindquist; proud great grandfather of Freya and Charlotte; cherished son of the late Anthony and Clara Semro nee Dobersch; dear brother of the late Robert, Richard, Kenneth and Ronald; many loving nieces and nephews.
