Gerald E. Harrington, 74, of Elgin. Beloved husband of the late Suzanne, nee Heelan; loving father of Kathleen (Paul) Del Santo, Gerald (Barbara), Kevin (Sandra), Brian (Donna), Mary Lee (David) Pallister, Suzanne Harrington, Tim (Noreen) and Sean (Karla); dear grandpa of Matt, Bobby, Jackie, Patrick, Alex, Nick (Katie), Rachel, Beka, Jake, Ben, Peter, Kiernan, Colin, Christopher (Erika), Nicole (Kyle), Brionna, Jonathan, Grace, Aidan, Brendan, Nora, Isaac, Vanessa and the late Sara; proud great grandfather of Kylie, Mikayla, Connor, Magdalyne and one on the way; dear brother of Patrick (Marion), Dolores (Robert) Prazak and Thomas.

Gerald was a Sgt. in the Marine Corps from 1955 - 1959. He was the founder of Streamwood Bookkeeping; an active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist and St. Matthew Church (Schaumburg).

Visitation Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 S. Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Monday 9:15 at the funeral home to St. John the Evangelist Church for a 10:00 Mass. Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
