Gerald Grendzinski

Gerald Stanley Grendzinski 58, of Addison, formerly of Elk Grove Village. Loving father of Michelle, Michael (Heather), Richard (dating Hana Kenny) Grendzinski. Cherished grandfather of Taylor Jean Grendzinski. Devoted son of Casimer and Gertrude (nee Koziol) Grendzinski. Dearest brother of Susan Jo (Salvatore) Lazzara, Sharon (James) Dunn, and John (Christine) Grendzinski. Jerry was an Electrician with Local 134 of the I.B.E.W. He retired after 37 years, due to severe back and knee problems. He loved fishing and bowling, although of late, his passion was directed toward cooking, searching for new recipes which he loved to try out on family members. He was constantly on the look out for the latest and greatest in kitchen gadgetry. He loved to share his discoveries with others, often giving individual home demonstrations to his family. Jerry was a dedicated single father. He raised three college-educated children, who looked up to him and believe him to be their Hero. He was immensely proud of his children and their accomplishments. He completely adored his granddaughter, Taylor, and loved to cradle her in his arms and study her tiny features. Jerry is much loved and will be forever missed.



Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 3pm to 9pm at the Countryside Funeral Home 333 South Roselle Rd. Roselle. On Thursday, family and friends will gather at the Funeral Home at 9:30 am and proceed to the Funeral Mass at St Walter Church at 10:00am. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery.
