George Webber

February 9, 1950 — December 2, 2015

George B. Webber, of Hanover Park for the past 36 years; husband of Shirley, nee Roe; brother of John Jr. (Donna); uncle of Wendy (Lenny) Adams, Jeff (Leslie) and Eric Webber; a special friend to many; he will be missed by the family cat, Belle. Preceded in death by his parents John Sr. and Louise, nee Blasco. George was an educational historian throughout the western suburbs, specializing in the Civil War. A board member at the Center for History in Wheaton. An active participant in the Memorial Day program at Klein Creek. Professionally he worked for the U.S. Post Office distribution centers in Park Ridge and Palatine for 34 years. He will be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor and positive attitude. Visitation Friday December 4, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Saturday 11:00 am. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory following services. In lieu of flowers donations to the Center for History P.O. Box 373, Wheaton, IL. 60187-0373
