George Mikasen

George Mikasen, 96, of Bartlett died Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Born December 23, 1924 in Benwood, West Virginia. A veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII. George was an employee for Motorola for over 40 years. He enjoyed reading, gardening, golfing, being nicely dressed and all things sports. He will be missed. Beloved husband of 50 years to Joyce D. (nee Broadfoot); loving son of the late George and Mildred (nee Zatezalo) Mikasonovic; dear brother of the late Olga, Ralph, Robert and Emil and cherished uncle and friend to many. Services were held privately at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Bartlett. Interment was also private at memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army, www.salvationaryusa.org, would be appreciated. A memorial service for George will be held at a later date when Covid restrictions have been lifted.
