George Fanelli

Visitation for George A. Fanelli of Streamwood for 18 years will be held Monday, May 28, 2018 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Lying in state Tuesday 9:00a.m. until the time of service 10:00a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church 202 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg. Following Services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.

A veteran of the US Marine Corps., George worked as a Mechanical Engineer for 50 years. He was a ;proud friend of Bill W. for 36 years. George will be remembered for his good sense of humor, a "heart as big as the world" and the pleasure he took in running errands and writing checks. He enjoyed golf and all things Italian-American - music of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, canoli and pizzelle.

He is the beloved husband of Linda nee Lundren; cherished father of Amanda (Eric Hansen) Fanelli; loving stepfather of David (Daniella) Bernau, Renee (Jon) Thompson and Brian (Char) Bernau; proud grandfather of Grayson, Everett, Jayden and Stana.
